Our story

 

Founded by artists Marcellus Hammond and Will McCullough, Brushes With Destiny (BWD) began as an accidental meeting which evolved creative partnership that grew out of a mentor-mentee relationship back in 2017. What started with Marcellus learning from Will’s years of expertise quickly shifted into a collaborative effort that combines traditional art making methods with modern innovations to transform spaces through art.

From Mentorship to Collaboration

 

What began as teacher-student shifted into a strong shared vision and creative partnership. Together, Marcellus and Will have shared multiple studio spaces, collaborated on murals and individual works of art., We have produced exhibitions spanning three floors of our artwork. Their combined talents and shared vision have resulted in murals that resonate with communities, blending symbolism, bold colors, and local culture. These collaborations have transformed ordinary spaces into visually engaging stories that leave a lasting impression.
